It is essential that the Voting Public participate actively in the Government process and elections.


Voting Public


All legal citizens are members of the Voting Public.


Responsibilities


It is the responsibility of the Voting Public to vote at all elections.


Responsibility Benefits


Every voting member of the Voting Public will be provided with a Holiday on the Date of Election. The Voting Public will receive compensation for election participation from their employer based on the average of the hours worked the day prior and the day after the Date of Election, but not less than ten (10) hours pay (based on a four (4) day work week, work weeks shorter than four (4) days will require adjustment of employer compensation for the Voting Public).


Date of Election


Date of Election will when the voting public votes to enact laws (see Government), and elect Elected Officials.


Date of Election will occurr a minimum of two (2) times a year, occuring on the first Monday after the first Tuesday in both May and November of each year.


No item of Legislation shall be included as part of an Date of Election unless all legislative action is complete a minimum of four (4) weeks prior to the Date of Election to provide the Voting Public a period of time the review (see Legislation) the Legislation.


If ten (10) or more items of Legislation are in place for consideration by the Voting Public, a Date of Election shall be held on additional dates occurring the first Monday after the first Tuesday in February and/or August
